Intrust Super is staffed by a team of dedicated super professionals.  Our team is here to help you, our members and employers with your super questions and queries. We look after a variety of functions in-house which include; risk management, compliance, account management, new business development, marketing and communication, and investment management to name a few.
Here’s a brief profile of each of our team members.

The Boss:

Brendan O’Farrell – CEO

Brendan joined Intrust Super in May 2005. He passionately believes education is critical in super because of the changing nature of the industry. “At Intrust Super we are constantly challenged with finding innovative ways to inform our members about the benefits of super. Our goal is to help members understand the importance super will play in their lives, and to feel in control of its growth.”

Brendan has worked in the superannuation industry for 18 years before being appointed Intrust Super’s CEO.  He is also a current Board Director of the Sisters of Mercy Staff Superannuation Scheme.

Brendan holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Diploma of Superannuation Management (Dip SM) and is a Fellow of the Association of Superannuation Funds Australia (FASFA).


Our Client Service team:

Karen Prins – Far North QLD Regional Manager

Karen has worked with Intrust Super since 2003 as a Client Service Manager and now in the role of Regional Manager in Far North Queensland.  Karen is responsible for the areas of client relationship management, member education, business development and administration for the Cairns, Townsville and Mackay region.
 
Prior to commencing with Intrust Super, Karen worked in a variety of roles including industrial relations, which exposed her to a wide range of issues impacting the superannuation industry.  Her academic qualifications include a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), PS 146 certification and a Certificate IV in Training and Workplace Assessment.  Karen is currently completing an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning).

Stephen Esslemont – Regional Manager

Based in Brisbane, Stephen regularly travels to NSW and visiting regional areas to meet with members and employers alike. With 14 years experience in the financial services industry here and in the United Kingdom, Stephen also holds a Diploma of Financial Planning (Dip FP), has PS 146 certification and is currently studying to complete his Advanced Diploma. By providing a high level of personal service and energetic and engaging work place seminars, Stephen is well qualified to help Intrust Super employers and members make the most of their association with the fund. He is extremely passionate about super and is keen to share his knowledge and help further strengthen relationships with current and new employers.

Eddie Kroenert – Regional Manager

Based in Brisbane, Eddie regularly travels to regional areas and Victoria to talk to employers about the many benefits in becoming Intrust Super members, for themselves and their employees. Eddie has 20 years experience in the financial services sector, in the areas of client relationship management, business development and financial planning. Eddie is well qualified having received an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning, has PS 146 certification and has a wealth of experience that he brings to his role as Regional Manager in Queensland.

Mark Low – Senior Relationship Manager

Mark has over 20 years experience in Financial Services having worked for various financial institutions overseas and in Australia. Mark holds an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), has PS 146 certification and is passionate about Intrust Super and providing high levels of customer service to members and employers alike.
